2003 merc 90 hp

Do these engines only fire on 2 cyl on idle , itsseems to run a bit rough on idle and misfires around 2500 rpm , rns great after that . Any ideas ?

The 40/50/60/75 and 90 HP engines are two stroke, three cylinders and fire on all three all the time (unless of course there is an ignition or fuel delivery problem).

Thanks for the reply , this is a four stroke engine and I think its actually a Yamaha powerhead .

That would have been nice information to know as it would have eliminated a couple of unnecessary posts huh! Regardless, the answer is still No!
