I have a 2004 200HPDI with 125 hours. Recently the low oil alarm sounded, after troubleshooting I found that the oil level sensor in the main oil tank (under cowling) was malfucntioning. I replaced it and it solved the problem for 6 engine operating hours. Now I have the same problem. The emergency switch pumps oil, so the pump and lines are fine. It has to be this sender again. Is there something wrong with my ECU that is causing this to fail, or could this just be a bad part? I have also heard the trim sensor could be the culpit, my gauge has never registered trim position. Also as a side note, I am using Quicksilver Premium Plus oil, which is W3 rated. Any help with this is much appreciated. I am also thinking about getting the YDS software.
