2004 DF 200 problem

Recently, my DF 200 has started to shut down when I get up to 3000 rpm's. My water seperator and fuel filter seem to be fine.

Anyone else experience this sympton and and have an idea on a fix?

My 2001 Yamaha 225 is doing the same exact thing. It bogs down and just kills. I checked the same things as you have but haven't figured it out yet.

Hey Championfisher,
Took my boat in to my mechanic yesterday and he found my problem. It was the anti siphoning device which is attached to the fuel line just past the fuel tank. It had rusted some and was not allowing sufficient fuel to get to the engine. He removed it and now the line is clear and all seems to be well.

I did not even know this device existed but apparently it is something that is being installed in newer boats to help diminish flow of fuel if the line were to break.

My mechanic mentioned he is seeing more of this problem and new exactly what to look for.
