Check for an air leak at the intake.

Sigma.
Did that using starting fluid around base of carb by fuel pump-hoses.There is a bras fiting held by a metal tag. Missed that in rebuild. Did submerge carb in carb cleaner. May need to clean again. This carb has minute feed tubes No run up when spraying .

Make sure it's not running lean.

Something is not regulating fuel like it should.

Well-took carb off-rust trash again.New gas.Ethenal is problie the culpret.
I did manage to brake the float tower on one side last time i rebuilt it. Jb weld did not take hold . flaked off after 4 months. Going to try liquid steel.
The monts line up so there is no problem. Just hate to spend $90. on new carb. i dont go where a electric motor cant get me back. take 2 batteries

Use marine tex. It works and it works in gas as well.

as a general rule, I have found anything that is "broken" in a carby is never successfully repaired with glue and secret mix stuff, it will need to be replaced, same goes for soaking in cleaner, you will need to buy a genuine manual, and do the carb/s properly once and for all.
