hello i am looking at buying a ranger 195vs with a 2004 mercury 200hp optimax on it and it has 317 hours and the compression rangers from 91-99 i was wondering if this is good or bad? I have tried researching this topic for hours and cant find a secure answer for this exact motor. If someone could help that would be awesome.

what does that mean
Yeah. Just having used loads of gauges over the years. Unless it’s an expensive and regularly calibrated gauge. They can read as high or as low as 10-30 psi out from what I’ve seen. I’d almost be sure that If all 6 are showing similar readings...there is little chance that they are all low...unless the engine has thousands of hours on it and been commercially hard ran.
