Okay, should be in the right category....

I have a 2004 Mercury 60hp 4 Stroke.
** Do these have a oil pressure sending unit, if so where is it located? If not can you install a oil pressure sending unit and gage?

** Does this have a thermostat? If yes, where is it located?

** Does this have a water temperature sending unit, if so where is it located?

** When I bought this boat I was told it had been ran in Salt water. I'm not entirely sure the previous owner flushed it out well. Is there anything I can run through the engine to clear out any salt build up that might be there?

Thanks for the help,
Keith

First get you a factory service manual. The ports shown are open to atmosphere and no lines attach. The box is vapor separator and wires are for trim guage

Just bought a 2005 60hp Mercury 4 stroke efi bigfoot and would love any advice about these motors. Same worries of previous owner not taking care of pipes/valves etc and would love to know the best way to get the motor all flushed out?
