2005 Yamaha 40 TLRD Tach wiring

I have a 2005 Yamaha 40TLRD coupled with a Yamaha 703 control box on my Alumacraft MV Tex Special. This boat came equipped with a speedometer only and I plan to add an aftermarket tach and hour meter. What is the correct number of poles for the stator (alternator) on this model, 3,6,12,etc? Also, is the correct color tach wire the green one coming from the control box?
