Any Century 2400 owners or ex owners out there that can tell me if this is a good boat? I am possibly only a day or two away from purchasing one and I want to see if anyone has had any bad experiences with it.

The one thing that bothers me is that they are bankrupt, not sure how difficult warranty work would be if needed down the road. Hull warranty issues are rare and Yamaha is still in the engine business so I think I am covered there.

I've only heard good things about Centurys. Would a hull warranty even apply to a 2nd owner?

According to the Century site the original 10yr hull warranty is fully transferable, but seeing as they are out of business I guess it wouldn't really matter. I checked their dealer locator and it did not find a single dealer for 350 miles so I'm assuming I would be on my own.

I would think that they would let the hull get repaired by any reputable dealer and let the dealer just expense it back to Century, since not honoring the warranty would be a breach of contract.

Like I said I know hull problems are rare, but its still a little strange to me to buy a boat from a maker that no longer is in business. Other than that, the boat is really sharp in my opinion.
