Have a 2007 4.3L Mercruiser TKS (carburated) in a Bayliner 185. Freshwater only. The alarm ringswhile engine running at speed. Oil pressure is good, temp is good, drive oil level is good. I have done the diagnostic steps to try to eliminate the alarm but THE ALARM STILL RINGS INTERMITTENTLY WITH ALL THE ALARM SENDERS DISCONNECTED! What am I missing? Typically will alarm when throttling down from high speed. But with all alarm senders disconnected it alarms with no pattention (high speed, low speed, straight line, turning. ) The son says he's going to cut the buzzer out. Any thoughts?

Howdy

What is your engine serial number?
Is it a solid alarm or on/off?

Sorry AllDodge was away from the water.

Alarm is intermittent. Will ring solid sometimes, always goes away when back down below 3000 rpm.

All the sensors disconnected which I'm assuming oil pressure, water temp and drive lube.

You probably don't have this being a TKS, but just in case. Look on your shift plate and see if you have a gear switch. Otherwise you probably have a pinch on the Tan/Blue wire going back to the alarm

Thanks. Yes alpha no gear switch. Think I found the short (pinch) will be away from the boat for a week or so but will resend when I have results! Gotta love heat shrink and butt conectors!
