2014 Mercruiser 4.3 stall?

Hello,

Have a new 4.3 engine, alpha 1 drive and its stalled a could of times when I put it in neutral waiting to dock the boat, but it will start right back up. Is this normal or something I should mention at the 20 hour service? Thanks

It is not normal and you should tell the dealer. Sounds like an adjustment.

Howdy, yes, tell them.

The shift interrupt should NOT kill the engine when going into neutral...........but at the same time, make sure you are briskly & deliberately placing it into and out of gear............ do not move the shifter slowly out of gear or you might kill the engine. (moving it slowly into gear can damage clutch dogs)

If it still kills the engine, the shift linkage/shift interrupt might need a small adjustment and should be covered under the warranty (if still in effect)
