NFL to vote on player participation in '28 Games

NFL owners will vote next week on a resolution that would allow players to participate in flag football during the 2028 Olympics.

Vote for NFL players to be able to play flag football in the Olympics ... how much longer till the NFL is flag football?

SNF is an hour later start for me ... It needs to be a good game for me to stay awake for the last 5 minutes of the game ...

I never seem to stay awake for the night games. Eagles have 6 this year. That and they don’t have two home games in a row all season. Tough schedule, on the road every other week and some short weeks as well.

Here is the thing that bothers me, and it’s not actually about the “tush push” itself. It’s about the commissioner. Word is that he leaned on the Packers board of directors to bring this to the table. His reasoning was that one owner wouldn’t be singled out as a “ bad guy” among the owners because the packers don’t have an actual owner. Now if that’s fact or not we will never know, but no doubt Goodell wanted it gone.

2 votes ... that is what kept the "Brotherly Shove" alive. Owners had 22 votes and needed 24. Apparently the discussion was a little heated and Lurie, owner of the Eagles was fiery in his hour speech to save the play. He prevailed ... barely.
