225hp Saltwater Series wont go over 3000rpm

[INTERVENTION]

Help!
Changed plugs, fuel is stabilized, checked for ruptured diaphragms in fuel pumps and still wont go over 3000RPM. Cant get my 23' pursuit to plane.
It behaves as if either fuel , or electricity is being cut off at 3000rpm, or as if it was flooding?

Anything else I should check before rebuilding carbs?

post a model number, that way one of us may have a clue what you have other than its 225 HP.

over the years its been made in several versions.
