Gear cluster, does the ring clip into the bearing race?

There is a groove in the housing.----There is a bevel on the factory circlip.----Ring only fits one way.----This is simpler than you are making it.

So the circlip just sits in the groove?

early magnetos were pretty much the same ... have you tried downloading the Johnson manual ??

These 2 little bolts belong somewhere, holds a bracket i cant find. Anyone got a clue? Had to remove when doing plug wires
