My 25 HP Evinrude, 1995 model, still has an intermittent miss that I can't figure out. It will start on the first pull and most of the time run at WOT for 5 to 8 minutes and then start having little " Blip" misses. It does seem to smoke really bad when first started and then again if I let it idle after running hard for a while. Compression is 122 and 125 on the two cylinders. It isn't lugging down or dieing, just will start missing about once or twice every 5 seconds. I can slow down a little and it seems to help, but not completely stop.I have replaced the fuel pump, rebuilt the carb, changed the plugs, replaced the thermostat, put fresh gas and 50/1 oil mix, new gas tank , bulb and fuel line. It seems to me to be an electrical miss but I don't know how, or what to check next on that front. Could it be a vacuum leak problem? I can't find one of those either.Any suggestions or advise will be greatly appreciated. The model number for the motor is E25 RLEOR. Thanks

The link sends me to a Yahoo search engine. This is a rope pull engine so I don't know how to check for voltage on the powerpack , coils etc while the engine is not running. Do you have another link you can suggest? Thanks

The ignition system works the same whether it is electric start or manual start.-----Run with a timing light to see if you can spot an ignition problem with upper or lower cylinder.
