Well, no metal pieces in the gear lube.<br />As for the remote steering and shifter, it goes full throttle as far as I can tell and thats when is slips, misses, etc... As for knowing if it feels like ive hit something Im not sure as I havent hit anything in this boat.

Have you got a tach? What are your rpm's reading when it starts doing this?<br /><br />You may have stumbled across something, maybe your problem is between the motor and the shifter, could the cable need adjusting or replacing?<br /><br />Maybe its behaving like this because the motor is being pushed past its stops???<br /><br />Just some thoughts,

A tach, hmm I spent a full day searching online for one that would work in my small center console that wouldnt break the bank. Its rediculous. If you have any reccomendations on where to look please let me know!Shifter,Cable adjusting, I took care of this yesterday and I will take it out on the water today to see if maybe that helped. It seems that before I adjusted the cable there was quite a bit of slack at the motor end of the shifter, almost like it wasnt in gear all the way and could be popping out. I will update after I come back from the test run!

Well, that was that! Just a small little adjustment of the shifter and it runs like a Champ! Thanks Yeah about that PWC Tach, not sure about the Pole but I think it is 5 for my motor, 95 Evinrude w/electric start 4amp alt!
