Thanks for your reply I ended up buying the motor, I saw it run and it started on the first pull and only paid 200 for it. The only problem is the starter is not fully functional, the little spring near the top is broken but I am fine with pulling it. So the model # is GG9026A and the serial number is 75X687113. I am looking for the oil mixture, year, and whether there are any major problems I should watch out for. Thanks, Mike

The motor is a 57 and should be similar to the E/J of similar years.Fuel mix is 24:1.Coils are probably the weak spot on these motors but new coils are readily available probably right here on iboats.as are impellers
(Probably should be changed unless done recently.
Carb kits etc.When shifting as with any outboard Shift crisply don't drag it into gear nor jamb it into gear Be sure the motor has a nice low idle.Change gearcase lube.seasonly.before freezing weather.
If cared for these motors are bullet proof.Maybe a little
heavy on gas.
