the best way i know of to tighten them is run engine with valve cover off and Slowly tighten the nut until is stops makeing noise> This way is a little messy at times but has always proved to be fool prof

Anyway I pulled off the two rocker arms and inspected the pushrods which seem to be slightly bent by a hair if that...

At this point why not take off side cover an inspect/replace them as they are like 3bucks each...

The tapping sound is up top and its is also down towards the lifters as well..
