3 keel rollers enough?

My trailer has two 4 ft roller bunks in the back and three keel rollers going fwd, along with a bow stop. Question is, is this enough support for fiberglass boat/motor with approx. weight of 2000#. Reason I'm asking is the keel seems to be skidding across rollers instead of them rolling. Rollers are brand new and axle pins have just been greased when rollers were installed.

That should be fine. Sounds like there is too much weight on the bunks and the boat is not contactuing the keel rollers hard enough.

Crawl under the trailer when the boat is on it. If you can turn the keel rollers by hand, adjust the bunks down a little. You didn't say how big the bunk rollers are, but if they are the 3" kind you might damage the hull if you leave it like it is.

Re: 3 keel rollers enough?

Thanks. Yes the bunk rollers are 3". 10 rollers in each 4" section. I was wondering if there was too much weight on the keel rollers. I have been under it to adjust them. You cannot turn any of the keel rollers by hand. 2 of them are adjustable and the fwd one is fixed. I used by floor jack to put upward pressure on them untill I felt they were making good contact and then tightened them down.
