30 hp chrysler outboard help needed please

hi everyone , i have just bought an old chrysler 30 hp outboard motor it runs very well , but smokes alot , could anyone help me on the fuel oil mix as i dont know what it is , i think i got it wrong so hence the smoking , also i it doesnt have a water flow hole at the side is this normal for this motor , i think the motor was built in the seventies or eighties , thanks from barry in hull uk .

hi barry 50 to 1 using TWC 3 oil is correct..5 litre petrol + 100 cc oil ....you need to fit a tell tail to the plug in the top of the cylinder block ..its the same thread as a uk air line fitting from Machine mart ..taper thread.. also be aware of corrosion in the exhaust side chamber holes 1 1/2 x 1/4 ...there is a compartment to the rear which holds water ..filled it solid with epoxy putty,, I am in Rugby UK give me the serial no and I can tell you the date ,,,Paid ?26 for mine.
