Hi Guys, I just aquired a used Yamaha 30hp outboard that has been converted to a tiller handle motor. The guy replaced the midsection of the motor with a 40hp tiller midsection. The model number on the new section is 40HEO. The serial is 6H4S100147. My finding suggest this is a 90 model midsection. My problem is I don't know the actual model and serial number for the power head its self. And if I need parts I need to know that info. Is there any way of being able to tell what I have without having the original midsection with the CORRECT numbers? Any help would be of great appreciation Thanks.
