300 Yamaha HDPI???????

Im looking at a 2005 300 HDPI Yamaha to upgrade from a ox66 on my 23 Dusky, I read some pretty unflattering reveiws however and Im wondering if I should look elsewhere. It does have a new factory rebuild powerhead with less than 175 hours. I figured maybe with new powerhead, and a few years of use the problems may have been solved. any help would be greatly appriciated.

going from an OX66 to an HPDI is NOT an upgrade.
all I got to say about that.

I'm with rodbolt on this one I have a 2004 300 HPDI ( 310 hrs ) and I got smoked by a Suzuki 250 4 stroke and both of us have 24' bay champ boats. ) O by the way mine is broken right now with fuel pump problems.
