New to the forum. Found it searching for info. About to convert grandsons 302/2bbl in his boat, to electronic pickup conversion from points to magnet pickup. It will more than likely change the timing. Does anyone have any idea on tune up specs for this engine. Any and all information will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.....

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, the basic timing should be the same as the points, roughly 8 degrees BTDC. At the beginning of these forums is an adults only section that provides a link to service manuals. The basic timing info should be there.

Are you adding a pertronix kit or a new distributor.

According to manual No 2 (thanks achris) the timing should be 10 BTDC
