Re: 3208 cat

You probably have something turned on or shorted in the wiring
Turn everything off, remove the cable from the battery. When you put the cable back on, is there a spark? if so, something is on. It's just a matter of finding what it is. Pull each fuse one by one till you find the problem circuit.

Re: 3208 cat

If you disconnect the (+) post on the Battery,+ put a Test Light between the Battery,+ the Wire End you just Removed,......
I'm Guessing that it'll be Lit, indicating a parasitic draw......

Then you'll have to start Disconnecting various Systems from the system till you Find the circuit that is drawing down your Batteries..........

It Could be Anything from the Alt., to a Bilge Pump,.....

As with chasing Any Electrical Gremlins,..........
Follow the Power............

Re: 3208 cat

Damn it! Finally a subject that I know like the back of my hand, and the actual issue has nothing to do with the engine :'(

Want to know the part number for the rod bearing?

9N5790 Thanks. I started my career as a CAT engine parts guy. Before computers, all books and microfiche. My head has so many flippin' part numbers in it it's absolutely amazing there's any room for anything else . . . :%
