I have a 350/Alpha on a 22 foot Larson.

The motor runs about 3000-3400 at about 35MPH (on plane and timmed out).

At full throttle this will run +4000RPM (not that I run full throttle much).

Is this normal range for such a boat? I believe the prop is a 19 pitch.

Thanks

Re: 350 RPM range

I haven't run a Chevy 350 in a boat before, but all the ones I've had in cars run perfectly in this RPM range. Unless you have reason to believe that there is a problem, you probably have about the right setup. Judging from the fact that you don't run full throttle much, I guess you aren't trying to squeeze out every ounce of performance. Go have fun with your boat and don't worry about the motor. It can handle it.
