Re: 352 fords att coupedeville
It really, really does mean Ford Edsel. I only found that out myself a couple of years back. I was talking with an Edsel collector - he has 6 of them - and has a huge collection of literature and books on them. I was wondering about the E-475 designation, and it was him who explained it, and the meaning of FE to me. This guy had been driving and collecting them since the early 60's. And if it isn't, then why is the other V8 engine series of 1958 known as the MEL family - the Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln engine group? And the FT is the Ford Truck engine. Would it not be logical for the FE to be called the FC then? For Ford Car?
