4.3 lt Mercriser Cranks But will not start on idle and will not idle.

Engine dies when choke system is wide open.
What is the problem ?

I assume OP wants to use the boat after the engine has warmed up in addition to having it start.

As stated earlier. The idle does not supply enough fuel to start or keep the engine running. Even with idle mixture opened way up. Where is the problem ?
