It sounds like a wiring harness connector, for all to not work. start cleaning and greasing the main connectors. Then with your volt meter, start from the ignition switch, and trace the wires to the engine, for voltage. I found some look-good-to-me connections that were'nt, after 3 months, of sitting, last month.

Is this an EFI engine? If it's a carbed engine, you won't hear the pump run before starting. It only comes on during cranking, and you couldn't hear it if you wanted to.
No spark is a different thing. The safety kill switch is on .......... isn't it??
If it is, start from the ignition switch and follow the purple wire to the engine and find out where the voltage stops.

Is it EFI or Carbed?

The kill switch is the one with the lanyard you attach to yourself incase you fall overboard.
