The rotor was defective. There was spotty continuity between the top contact to the rotor arm. It had nothing to do with moisture. The EST ignition system is an improvement over the old HEI systems of the 70s-80s. A little moisture will not stop it from firing. Back to runni g like a top.

To look at it, it looks perfectly fine. BUT it is pooched. I just tried the old one, cranks and no firing. Put the new one, starts right up. I am not a happy camper with VPs so called high quality parts. I am definitely going to try to get my money back on that rotor.
