I have the slow on my carbed 7.4L but have a completely different distributor.
You have the EEM. Sorry to hear that, hope it doesn't break on ya, parts are almost non existant for that ignition system. The LK models were also the last to use it.
After reading this in the first post,
The timing has been adjusted over and over and it won't stop.
I'm not sure if the timing is right or even close or how it's been set.
But until it has been set correctly, checked and verified, I sure wouldn't start taking anything apart to repair or replace.
I have no clue at this point what has been checked. It could be fuel, it could be ignition, it could be a vacuum leak, it could be mechanical (compression), impossible to say without more information and testing.
