You need to replace the carb and intake minifold.  Will cost quite e few bucks.  It will make some difference but not a night and day change.  If your towing most of the time you might consider a different prop for the towing.  Just keep the WOT rpms under the max recommended.  Then have a different prop for "running".  The interchangeable type (hub mounted like the Michigan Vortex) are pretty eay to swap.  A prop would be LOTS cheaper.<br /><br />In addition, I am not sure what the CFM rating on the 2bbl you have but if you read on sizing carbs for engines I think you'll find that the 4.3 can only process so many CFM of air and the 2bbl you have may already be fairly close to the max.
