I have a 1992 javelin 389t bass boat with a 1993 175 hp fast strike with a 4 blade renegade by omc prop (13.5 x 25).I do not have a jack plate yet. I am wanting to gain some top speed, and was told that a raker 14.5 x 26 would be a good selection.... is that correct ? or what do you suggest ? Right now at wot by the speedo on flat water to lil rough i can run 69-71 mph @ 58-5900 rpms (one person , full gas tank 45gal,all the poles and tackle). Would a 6 inch jack plate be better than buying a prop right now ?
