Hey,

I have a 96 Lund Rebel 14 adventure series with a 25hp 2 stroke. The motor has seen better days and i found a 2011 mercury 4 stroke for sale that I'm considering getting. Im concerned about the weight though. Does anybody here have my boat with a 4 stroke 25 on it? What do you think about it? will the boat sit lower?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

The weight increase is minimal.
It would be like setting an extra gas can in the back. Difference is 30-40 pounds.

If need be, you could always move some gear, or the fuel tank forward, but I don't think you will notice the extra inch the boat MIGHT settle.

Concur, on the smaller engines the weight difference isn't that much and as Roscoe said, you may need to shift a bit of gear but it shoudl do really well.

I have a 2010 Lund Rebel /SC with a 30hp 4 stoke. Takes a little bit to get up on plane,
but it dose. With a gas tank and two batteries in the back and two people it will run 25 mph.
