If you don't want to change the oil a couple of times, you can just let it drain for a day or so, then refill it with the Precision Blend. I am a bit more concerned about mixing oils than racer... but that is a personal choice

Nothing wrong with a few drops of ordinary gear oil mixed in with premium blend.----Nothing at all.----As I have said many times the lubrication in outboards is a big mystery !

No need to do any flushing , just fill with the premium blend.-----The issue is with the forward spring and clutch.----Stop running it and initiate repairs.----Easy fix in my opinion.----I developed a method to repair this about 45 years ago.
What was the method you developed 45 years ago to fix this if you dont mind me asking. If you werent so far away id bring it to you to fix. TKS

I showed the technique to some dealers years ago.-----One fellow scoffed at the idea that these can be repaired.----Other shop ( 33 year experience on his card ) said.----" in my wildest dreams i could not have figured this out "----Bought the tool on the spot.----So it shows , including here on this site that expertise is not always understood.

Do you not have a boat shop where you can walk in and get the correct oil before walking out ??

I do bit not real close. I have Duncan marine and a few others but they are a pretty good ride. Probably should have done that to begin with.

But it says on the box Marine Part fulfillment. I'm just gonna take it to one of the boat dealers and see what they say. I appreciate you guys.

Don't do that on me man. It says for high performance outboards, commercial fleet and stern drives. It doesn't say a word about electric shift. Like what the back of the bottle they advertised said. I'm gonna take it to one of the boat shops tomorrow and find out. He'll the picture on the oil I bought doesn't match what I got. I'm not gonna put it in the motor until I know for sure. Can promise u that.

That Oil is not for Electric Shift. Precision Blend is the correct Oil. Hopefully you go to a Dealer who knows about the Electric Shifts, as they have been out of Production since 1970
