1998 Evinrude 4HP appears to have seized throttle cable (tiller twist grip design). Am attempting to remove tiller and lube mouth of cable with a homemade pressurized device. Have been through Seloc manual 3 times. Do not see detail that covers this model's tiller arm removal, throttle cable installation and adjustment.
If there is applicable method in the Seloc manual, mind directing me to it or offering advice on throttle cable adjustment - both on tiller end w/ retainer and also on timing plate end re: nuts holding cable to engine mount?
Picture shows the timing plate-end cable & nuts in the position I found them when I acquired this motor. Any advice is appreciated.
(Vic S - thanks for your helpful comadvice re: interlock mechanism. You are correct this motor lacks one. Starter pawl freed with lubricant.)
Thank you!
