Not sure how the preg lady on board my boat is gonna feel about that.
LOL -- I'm "in the same boat." My wife is due in December. Let me know if you have any pointers on keeping them happy out there. So far I've learned to make sure there are always plenty of snacks of different varieties available along with water, juice, etc. Also I make sure to keep that black water tank cleaned out and ready. ;-)

i dont ever go on my boat on 4th of july. everyone in palm beach county owns a boat and they are ALL out there on the 4th. i can see the fireworks from my house anyway, so its just not worth the hassle of getting the boat out.

This is what everyone is telling me, why they are avoiding the weekend. It is very true, I expect parking lot like situations. In the same regard, working 50 hours a week, there isn't a lot of time to enjoy the boat, so an 80-90 degree sunny, 3 day weekend... I plan to make my way out there and live with the crowds. Probably take things slower than usually, keep my head on a swivel (as they say) and keep the alcoholic beverages to the evening and dock hours.

Heading to the boat tonight to clean up some, check a couple more things out, and purchase some more bedding/cozy items.

I will have my project done and be splasing it for the first time on the holiday weekend. I plan on doing the same thing I did last year. water sports all day and get my spot in down town Toledo Ohio between 5-6pm and chill and watch all the others jocky for a spot last min. Then After I will wait a good hour before leaving so to avoid all the ramp crazys!

Its all ways fun to watch the coast guard go from boat to boat doing checks and chasing boats out of the fall zone for the fire works. It all ways surprises me on how many people the coast guard gets for vilations. Its funny to hear all the ways people try to get out of their tickets to!

I am always preped and waiting for the coast guard to check me every year. All my gear easy to get to and I have double of almost every thing in case something dosnt work when they check....quick and easy if they check me out!

Toledo is having "operation dry water" this weekend. You think it was bad before, its 10 x's worse this weekend. Needless to say I would refrain from drinking this weekend, at least while boating. It sucks because Im scared to have even one while fishing on saturday!!!!

We went to the fireworks in pooint place on the ottawa river (at a house) and as you looked out across the river after the fireworks... there were FIVE CG boats giving breathalyzers. It really was bothersome the little river was lit up with lights.

Heading out on lake Michigan July 3rd for fireworks downstream in Kenosha and the 5th in Racine.
The 4th I think we will cruise the Cobra car to Chicago or maybe the chain of lakes.

I'll be doing the same, minus the Cobra, wish I could do that. I'll be spending the 4th in my 16' Glastron at North Beach pulling the kids on the tube and skis. For the fireworks, I'll be on my dads 22' Silverline.

No firewoks allowed on Lake Mead. I'm off on sunday and monday, so we'll go out for some night fishing saturday evening and just use the pontoon as a motel on water, returning on monday when it shoud be quieter. Not a tea totaler by any means, but I dont drink if I'm going to be at the helm.

I'll be on Winnisquam as well! Swimming during the day then hopefully watching the fireworks later on in the evening from the boat.

They have banned all fireworks for states bordering the Gulf Coast. They are afraid the water may catch on fire.....LOL
