I recently had to remove the heads to do a valve job and the heads resurfaced. Now I need to put it all back together and I can't find the proper torque specs for the heads and intake or the proper pattern. These are the numbers I have found on the block, V0522TRA and CKF180252

:welcome: to iboats

Those numbers cannot be used. Casting numbers in most cases are on the rear deck just below where the head is.
What year is the engine?

I just went and looked again the only numbers I could find were on the back and they read GM 5.7lg SGI. It is a 1998 boat so I assumed it would be the same year motor.

How many bolts are in the intake manifold?

Chevy SB heads should all have the same pattern starting with the center bolt and going in a clockwise fashion in 3 steps.
Torque -to- Yield use a different process,

THE NUMBERS ON THE HEADS ARE GM 4102193 WHICH ARE HEADS OFF A CHEVY 350 SO I'M THINKING SOMEONE HAS CHANGED THE MOTOR OUT AND PUT ALL THE MARINE COMPONENTS ON TOP. WITH WHAT I HAVE RESEARCHED THE HEADS SHOULD BE TORQUED TO 65 FT/LBS IN THE STEPS STARTING WITH 25-45-65? PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG?

you do not have to YELL.

fyi, your Mercruiser block, heads, and rotating assembly are GM (Chevrolet). Mercuiser purchases the longblock from GM powertrain and adds their marinization to it.

Thank you BD! So since it is pre-Vortec do I still need to torque the heads to the specs y'all gave?
