5.7L Mercruiser Update

I went down to the boat tonight......just for another look. Had a feeling about the plug wires, being that they are so hard to get at.<br />The owner told me the guys at the marina did the "tune-up", not his usual mechanic.<br />Well........I found one of the wires not pushed on all the way on to the plug. I don't know if it was maiking contact, but it defintly wasn't "snaped-on".<br /><br />I am hoping this was my low RPM problem! Would be nice!<br /><br />PS....what plugs are used on this engine...I know Don doesn't like Champion....

Picking the boat up tomorrow........I found another plug wire not on all the way!!!

Did you find what plugs it takes, what does the manuel recommend? You should be able to cross reference them from there.
