50 horse force can't find the year

I have a 50 horse force and the model and serial numbers are un-readable. How can I find the year of the moter?

You have to have the serial to tell you the year.<br />It is newer than 1984, and older than 1999 without it.<br />Does the serial/model tag read "US Marine Power"?<br />Or does it read "Mercury Marine, Brunswick Corp."?

Hello, just purchased boat with same Force 50HP. Tag is OK so I know the engine is a 1992 model 507E92C. If I can help comparing certain items on the block.. it could maybe be of help to you.<br />Do you have a service/owners or repair manual? See my topic.. no ignition. <br />Regards<br />Guido

I have a 1987 force 50hp and the motor cover is black and has the number 50 sticker on it. The 50 is like dots the form the number and it has light blue and red stripes on the side of the cover. I hope this helps. If not maybe you can send a picture or I can send a picture of mine and we can compare the two.

see if this werks <br /><br />for some reason, the link don't wrerk here iether. Must be the firewall at the office?? I dunno.<br />But anyhoo, you have Prestolite ignition.<br />And they are all the same version if blue.<br />Other parts may vary.

Not a boat peson ! Just Bought an 85 bayliner with a 50 HP Force. Needs seals and serviced. How/where do I find the model and serial numbers ?
