50 HP Evinrude VRO No water

Nothing coming out the pisser. Stuck air hose in line and blewit out and still no water at pisser. Don't know much about outboards, what could it be, impeller, waterpump. How do I remove lower, where is shift rod nut, pin?

Hi Waterdog,<br /><br />How did you check it?<br />Did you check it in the water, in a barrel or with muffs?<br /><br />Is the motor new to you - in other words, has this just happened after working reliably, or don't you know?<br /><br />Has the motor been standing unused for a while?<br /><br />Do you know its history?

Checked it with muffs.<br /><br />It was working fine. The last time I was out fishing I was into a lot of weeds and noticed when I was trailering that no water was coming out.<br /><br />Motor is used regularily.

You might be lucky and just got a weed caught, but i believe theres a screen at the water pickup, check that it is clear and hopefully this helps, if anything, do not run the engine too long like this cause these engines heat up very quick and in no tome damage can be done...
