Re: 50 hp thunderbolt help
well I need help again. When I went to change motor over to boat I noticed that I needed to rewire key switch because all the coating was broke on the wires. I went by the diagram and ohmed the key switch out. It ohmed out right by the diagram. So I proceeded to rewire it by the diagram. I went by the letters on the key switch and diagram. Everything matched up so I soldered it. When I finally hooked it up to the boat the motor would not turn over. I took it apart again and checked the voltage on the key switch. The wire that goes to the safety switch had voltage going to it but the solenoid wire did not. so I switched the solenoid and safety switch wire and tried again. This time it turned over and started up but would not kill the engine when I turn it off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
