 507f7c On the cd coil pack I have a short between blue wire and brown wire. With blue wires connected to stater winding and brown wires connected to white mag terminal on strip, get -0- ohm reading between blue wires on cd. I disconnect brown wires and I get 730 ohms between blue wires. Motor has no fire. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: 507f7c ignition

That engine is not my forte, and all my CD boxes have quick-connects, but since no one has answered you I will give it a try.

Since you have one CD box and two cylinders, you are using both sides of the CD box--one to fire each cylinder. Now, here's where it gets tricky because I don't know your wiring colors. However, there should be one pair of wires coming from the stator to each side of the CD box--total of 4 wires, probably same color pairs, maybe not. could be brown and orange and brown and red.these charge the capacitors

Blue should come from the trigger as should another color, possibly yellow--each servicing one half of the box. these go into the same spot as the charging wires but trigger the transistor to dump the capacitors into the coils.

There should be one black wire from the Cd box to ground from the center of one side of the box.

There should be one white wire from the same spot on the box CD box to the white terminal on the engine. this is the stop wire

There will be two wires (one may be white) opposite the above wires going from the CD box to the coils.

Hope I was some help.
