Hi All;
I purchased a boat with the above motor and it doesn't have the manual clip that holds the motor up. The boat does NOT have tilt and trim and the previous owner said he just used a stick to prop it up while in transit and tied the motor down. I would like to fix it properly, but the local boat supply said they can't get any parts for that old of a motor. Does anyone know where I can get the parts or if there is a way for me to fix it myself. I don't know what the replacement parts need to look like or I would figure out a way to design something that works well and looks nice. If anyone has a clear picture or a parts guide for this specific motor it would be a huge help.

Thanks,
PTChance

The bracket needed to keep the motor up when you're transporting your boat is currently up for auction (used) on e-bay. You might want to quickly check this out.
As for the standard pin/rod that keeps the motor trimmed correctly, they too come up from time to time on ebay. Barring that you might want to make something or perhaps some of the other guys have some ideas on where to get one of those.
Good Luck
