Thanks MaPaHa, I forgot you had ran your's like that. Do you recall the speed you planed out with just the straked transom tube. Your motors are close.

When I added the center toon with strakes I had the '77 model crank rated 140 Evinrude on it at that point. I also had the Pontoon Water Glide under it. I took the Glide off and added the center toon with strakes and as I remember it would plane out just below 20 mph I think, but i can't be certain. the top speed was a little less than the Water Glide and it was around 35 mph. When I added the strakes on the outer toons I didn't gain any noticeable top end speed but it sure did jump out of the water better. You could just hit the gas about half way and you were on top. When I put the '94 150 HP Johnson Fast Strike prop motor on it with the jack plate I gained almost 5 mph. I'm running a Power Tech Off Shore 4 blade prop with exhaust port holes. I've never had any boat that will hit plane like this one. Crazy for a pontoon.

Finally got mine out for a test run . 43 on GPS hitting the rev limiter with a 14 3/4 x15 pitch 4 blade might have to see what a 17 pitch will do .
