Hi all -

I've recently begun trying to sort out/thin out my boating projects - like perhaps a few of you, I've accumulated way too many - my imagination overwhelms my ambition! :D

I have a Glasspar Club Mariner w/no HIN, of course, but stamped into the interior molding is 19N8 055.
I've assumed this indicates 19' length, possibly Nov of '58 production, and 55th hull of the year.

Can anyone confirm or properly interpret this code?

Thanks.

regards,

FWIW, Glasspar owners verify my decode, except the "N" indicates Nashville, TN production.

Welcome to iBoats Terry. Not too far from you myself - over in Murfreesboro.

Sounds like you ID'ed the hull. The gang 'round here loves pictures, so post 'em when you can.

Tnx southkogs.
Well, here's the '58 Glasspar, a '75 CobraJet and a '60 Norris Craft, and my small engine assortment.
I have other stuff, but you get the idea.

Glasspar will be fun to have out on the water. Those cruisers were so unique. Love the wings on the Norris - I've always thought it would be fun to paint one up like an old street rod with the flames.

I used the cruiser many times in the past, ratholes and all, but it's just set for ~4 years now and has gotten to the point I hafta do something, so my first resto is finally on the agenda.

An interesting historical note is that Glasspar used the rear window from the Studebaker Champion as the windshield. :D
