Hi,

I have a transom mounted transducer, the transom screw holes have been sealed inside and out with silicon.

I Plan to remount this and a pitot with 5200 (cant get 4200 locally) If I redrill with a fractionally larger diameter is this sufficient to remove silicon or does it penetrate further and require an alternative approach ?

Thanks

Duane.

Re: 5200 and Silicon Contamination

That will work as long as you remove the old silicone. The 5200 is great stuff and takes F O R E V E R to dry and can be quite runny. Be prepared that it will run a bit but works great.
