Re: 55 hp chrysler 74-75
I have the manual but the flywheel doesnt want to come off, I borrowed a steering wheel puller from my neighbor who is a chrysler mechanic (just not a marine mechanic). I guess an almost 40 year old motor doesnt want to come apart. It is soaking with WD40 now and we shall see what happens in the morning.
My switch seems to be fine along with most of the other electrical, I checked with a meter and I get 12 volts on ignition cause I was thinking maybe that wire was bad. I will let you know what happens If I cant get it to work I have a 40 hp force motor sitting in my dads garage I told him I was going to take, It has only been sitting for 3 years but it is a 1990. So a little newer. Also the boat it is on is a taylorcraft bass demon, I could not find anything about this boat except the specs on iboats, no pictures I wonder what happened to the company, they were from kentucky.
