I have a Grady White 19 foot boat given Me by late Father. When got the boat it ran but I soon had issues with the choke spring. The motor boat trailer are all original. I then had starter issues. I took it to a local "expert" to rebuild it. He told Me I could leave it there, wrote my name and info on the tag and put it away. When I returned to ask or the work to commence he claimed to have lost it and won't even acknowledge ME now. So... Can anyone one here direct ME to where to get a starter for a 66' Evinrude Starfire 100 HP outboard? This boat ran like a monster till the starter choke issues. It was a gift from my Father who became to ill to join us on the lake, but used to watch from shore. LOL Well nice to be here, I am used to an introduce yourself area at a forum so Hello! I also am running my other boat ATM (also from Pop!) A 88 Bayliner Trophy Class 17' with the 85 hp force, which I am replacing the prop on this week.

I'll go peruse the Force area for tips I guess!

You might try Arco.com in Pensacola Fl, or salvage yards in the top secret files at the begining of this forum.

Thanks tx whaler, I'll look into that! Secondly, I am a complete novice... Is this boat (1966 GW w/100hp evinrude starfire all original boat, trailer and motor) a desirable one? The reason I ask is every time I put that boat on the water nearly every experienced boater inquires about it! What year? What motor, What hull etc... It garners FAR more attention than my Bayliner... I LOVE the Grady White FAR better than the Bayliner myself! It just looks "classic" to Me.

Question? Given some restoration and TLC, if I bring this boat up to repair what is the relative worth of an all original 66' Grady White w/ 100 hp Evi? I was shocked to hear how high it was! (If this guy is not full of crap) I am not considering selling it but the prospect of sinking a couple thousand into her is more appealing when I realize she has a certain collectors appeal. I want to restore it and give it to SON hence continuing the chain Father to Son.

Also thanks for the part number friend, Are you quite sure that matches my motor? All help is greatly appreciated!
