I have a 1967 , 9.5 sportwin . I see very few that are all grey like mine is. Was this the only year of all grey paint scheme ? I was going to repaint it and want to know if this is original or would white cover be appropriate?

:welcome: aboard Mikemorg, nice to have you join us...

Can't say for certain because I can't go back that far in the engine break down site I go to. Some times the factory service manual will specify the color(s) and even give the paint code(s). My only suggest is to easily scrap off the paint in different areas to see if there has been any other colors before the gray or if that looks like the factory finish. Either way, unless you seriously just want to keep it factory. You can paint it any color you please. When I rebuilt my '76 40HP Johnson, I asked pretty much the same question on here. And I was told that it was no collector's engine and therefore no real need to go back with factory color scheme. So I did my own paint scheme. If you care to see that, click on the engine rebuild link below and take a look. I go through everything to paint such an engine. :thumb:

That '67 would have been Polychromatic Blue, which is a dark, sort of grayish blue. The Cowl would have been pure white with blue and red decals. The prop was white as well.
