i have a 67 model johnson super seahorse 80 and it takes a bit of effort to get it to start when its cold. but after it runs well except in the high rpms. the worst part is after it warms up it runs worse and eventually dies and will not restart. i have replaced the spark plugs wires and the fuel pump was rebuilt. the ignition coil had been previously replaced with an automotive type. i have heard that this may cause some problems. i was also suspecting the condensor, because im not really sure how long this motor has been sitting up. i am desperatly tring to get my new old boat running to enjoy it some before the weather cools off. any help is greatly appreciated.
