I have a 1967 Larson Volero with 155hp V6 and high profile outdrive. I would like to replace the pinion shaft (shown in picture) but have no idea where to find one in good condition. I am aware that pre-1968 outdrive parts are hard to find but figured I would try since engine and boat are in excellent condition. If nothing else can I swap a four cylinder outdrive of the same year in its place. Is there any difference besides prop size etc...Any help greatly appreciated.
